DIY Divas – Guest Bloggers
As many of you know, AutoSavvy has partnered with the DIY Divas. The sisters, Meg & Steph, are two bloggers based in Utah who share a common appreciation for getting value where others might not see it. They find ways to repurpose what they already have and aren’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, get dirty, and “do it yourself.” For the past few months the Divas have been driving a Honda Odyssey and an Acura TLX, both provided by AutoSavvy. As they drive they have been sharing their experiences with their audience & ours. Here is one of their latest blog posts about changing the oil for the TLX.

How to Change the Oil in Your Car
The other day, my brother-in-law showed me how incredibly easy it is to change the oil in my cute little 2015 Acura TLX that I am driving from AutoSavvy. I honestly couldn’t believe how simple it was to
do, and I had a lot of fun doing it.

Supplies Needed:
- Oil for you specific car – Call your local auto part store or dealership
- Ramps that can hold the weight of your car.
- Large funnel
- Oil Change Pan
- Latex Gloves
Check out our how to video below and see for yourself how incredibly easy it is to do.
So where do you dispose of the oil once you have completed an oil change?
You can find locations on your states Department of Environmental Quality website. Here’s a link to Utah’s.
We usually drop our oil off for free at auto part stores such as O’Reilly or Autozone, and even mechanic shops like Grease Monkey.
