8 months earlier, the branded-title Toyota 86 is up for auction following the Houston floods.
After being transformed into a race car, the Toyota 86 makes a debut at MSR Houston Motor Speedway for an 8-hour endurance race.
Race Check
Ready to Race
Jordan:
I’m excited. It’s awesome to get to drive this 86 salvage car in a race, and prove what it can do. It worked flawlessly yesterday, so we know we’re going to have a good race today. It looks like we might have some rain today, so it should throw a little bit at us to adapt to. But, it will be fun and we’re confident that we are going to have a competitive car. We’re looking forward to the next 8 hours, an entire work day worth of driving.
Interviewer:
How’s the car feeling?
Stef:
Pretty good. I mean the tires, were like, a little hot and stuff so we just let some air out of them, and hopefully that will be better for this stint.

Robb:
The car just ran like a champ. It was, what, a 3-hour stint or something like that. Just kept going, turning down the laps, it was beautiful. Could not complain. Couldn’t really expect for anything better really.
